The cost of tuition for our nursing education program options varies depending on the program you choose. Overall cost can be reduced through transfer credit from prior college coursework, scholarships and grants, loans, VA and military benefits, and several additional options for financial aid.

ASN to Nursing Education

You can potentially qualify for an accelerated program designed for RNs with an associate degree to work towards an MSN in Nursing Education.

Start by completing an RN to BSN program, then go from BSN to MSN in Nursing Education in the future.

Accelerate to a master鈥檚 degree in nursing education, then pursue a Doctor of Nursing Education.

BSN to Nursing Education

Begin working towards a master鈥檚 degree and you can graduate in less than 2 years.

  • Time to complete: 16 monthsi
  • Program: MSN-NE

Bachelor鈥檚 degree holders may earn an MSN first, then enroll in a DNE program in the future.

  • Time to complete: 36 monthsi
  • Programs: MSN-NE, DNE

MSN to Nursing Education

RNs who hold a master鈥檚 degree may be eligible to enroll in the Post Master鈥檚 Certificate in Nursing Education program.

  • Time to complete: 8 monthsi
  • Program: PMC-NE

RRNs who hold a master鈥檚 degree may be eligible to enroll in the Doctor of Nursing Education program.

  • Time to complete: 20 monthsi
  • Programs: DNE

You can earn up to 85% in loan forgiveness through the NFLP.

Commit to a career as a nursing instructor and you can potentially save immensely on cost as part of the National Faculty Loan Program (NFLP).

You鈥檒l need to find a full-time position within 12 months after graduation. The longer you remain employed full-time, the more you can save鈥攗p to 85% over 4 years.2

Get the best of both worlds. Some of our degree programs are offered exclusively online and some programs are offered as a combination of both campus and online classes.

I don鈥檛 have a nursing degree. Where do I start?

If you have already earned a non-nursing bachelor鈥檚 degree, there are two potential educational pathways in nursing we鈥檝e designed with you in mind:

  • Accelerated BSN (ABSN) program. Our on-campus ABSN program, available at select Herzing campuses, allows you to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in as few as 20 months (most students complete in 24 months).
  • MSN Direct Entry program. Start working towards a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) right from the start in our online direct entry MSN program. You can graduate in as few as 20 months.

If you have not yet earned an undergraduate degree in any major, you will need to first earn an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or BSN.

Once you鈥檝e earned a nursing degree at any level, you can become eligible to enroll in a nursing education MSN or post master鈥檚 certificate program.
